2. Phoenix Rising

Written and arranged by Lance Ning and Shawn Engmann

Can you feel the winds are changing?
Through the darkness there comes a light.
Finally it’s raining and the drought is lifting,
What was barren is now full of life.
Everything had seemed to have crashed and burned down,
All the beauty had gone up in flames,
Terrified that it was all gone forever,
And that it would never be the same.

But I’m breathing again,
Seeing the light,
And I am realizing,
Up from the ash,
There is life,
There is a phoenix rising
Again.

The very same flames that consumed the world have
Transformed into a fire inside,
Emanating warmth and illumination,
Burning with a passion that grows stronger with time.
What was once a sign of darkness
Has now turned into a symbol of light,
Encouraging life and inspiration,
Overwhelmingly burning bright.

And I’m breathing again,
Seeing the light,
And I am realizing,
Up from the ash,
There is life,
There is a phoenix rising,

And it’s spreading its wings, and it’s ready to take flight
To come back to the world, to show us all its light...

And I’m breathing again,
Seeing the light,
And I am realizing,
Up from the ash,
There is life,
There is a phoenix rising again.
There is a phoenix rising again.
There is a phoenix rising again.
There is a phoenix rising again.
